Yeah.
Ignorance might be bliss.
But we weren’t called to be blind,
To hide out safe,
in the dark.
We were called to see and be seen,
To live as selves totally revealed,
by the light
And in the light.
And yeah,
to see,
and be seen,
It’s not always bliss,
in the light
It’s uncomfortable,
Revealing,
of both beauty and flaws.
But to be seen?
Is the only way,
That this love-light
has a chance,
to embrace us,
at both our best,
and our worst.

“Wake up. Put your face in the sunlight.
God’s bright glory has risen for you.
The whole earth is wrapped in darkness,
all people sunk in deep darkness,
But God rises on you,
his sunrise glory breaks over you.
Nations will come to your light,
kings to your sunburst brightness.” Isaiah 60:1
