We each have a story. We each have a story that lead us to today. We have people and experiences and heartbreaks and joys and everything inbetween that lead us to this chapter. Today is just one page. And we can be certain there is more to come. But what makes us up – is our story, because of this our today is not going to be identical to any other – because our story isn’t like any other, who said it was meant to be? We each are our own creation experiencing life and making decisions based off and through different seasons and chapters.
In comparing our decisions and weak points of today, our failures, our sadness, our struggle-street chapter to another’s different, more ‘successful, joyful, easy chapter’ – we essentially aren’t listening to the most important thing – ourselves. It in a sense is beating our souls up a little – it’s a strong statement to make, but I think it’s true.
The thing is – we are exactly where we are meant to be, and the only responsibility we have, I think, is to give our own story our best shot, at trusting and growing through its process, and being as true to our selves as possible. And being aware the people around us are walking their own story, so, there is no particular way it ‘should’ look. You’ve never been done before, I’ve never been done before – each of us is a unique developing masterpiece of creation with a bigger beautiful plan, that goes a lot further and deeper than todays situations. There is a master plan.
In believing our story should be unfolding differently by looking at someone else, is almost like we are ignoring the story that lead us here, and trying to connect our current page up to someone else’s totally different story. That’s when we truly get lost. It wont make sense. In looking to another’s story as an indicator for how it ‘should’ be, we swerve off our own path, away from ourselves, away from what makes us who we are…
Embrace your own unfolding story, your road, your journey, your quirks.. The beauty of it is that you’re a new creation, so no one else can walk the road quite like you do, – you are a new , never has been, never will be again type of person, don’t let the world miss out on your fresh perspective and lovely self in trying to do or be anything else, or anything less for that matter. You got something pretty neat unfolding.
