Hello.
I’m home again. It is so incredibly good to be home. Feeling comfortable, calm and ready to bake. The sun is blazing, my legs are out, my dress is on, i’ve had coffee, and i’m baking a cake. Something about home isn’t there? It’s a shame I don’t live just around the corner. But then maybe I wouldn’t enjoy it as much. I kind of like opening the drawers and all you need is there, every cake tin, muffin tin, spatula, sieve and utensil you could possibly think of. It is all within a few metres of your current position. It’s quite a treat.
Today is simple. And I feel so blessed to be right smack bang in the middle of it, flour on hands, cake in the oven, windows open, sun streaming in, new music occasionally getting a wee shuffle and jump out of my feet.
This is it. Today. Live in it. That’s all he’s given you that you actually have on your hands on at this very moment. Make the most of it. Open your eyes to his blessing. Whatever that means for you. Baking may not be it.
So. This is my today. Using it. Through a wonderful wee treat ..

“Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don’t get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes…..What I’m trying to do here is to get you to relax, to not be so preoccupied with getting, so you can respond to God’s giving……Steep your life in God-reality, God-initiative, God-provisions. Don’t worry about missing out. You’ll find all your everyday human concerns will be met.” Matthew 6: somewhere.
