amidst blowing wind and rolling seas.

Today i was thinking.

To really live, you must find joy, you must pine and thirst after it. You cannot rely on anyone to be it for you. Find that spark off the right things and from the right place and you’ll blossom. Life can be a mess sometimes. And it’ll most definitely hurt you.  But I’d like to think pain is a mere veil, over top of a much stronger, fiercer, ‘I’ll fight for joy’ kind of an attitude – only if you’re drawing it from something hugely greater than yourself can the sting of pain be eased.

Wouldn’t it be comforting to know that, this pain isn’t the end of the story for you.  Wouldn’t it be comforting to know your absolute joy is safe .

The wind may blow,

and the seas may roll,

Your boat is built with a clear knowing of what your journey will entail.

Your boat is being watched.

Your boat is held.

“We who have run for our very lives to God have every reason to grab the promised hope with both hands and never let go. It’s an unbreakable spiritual lifeline, reaching past all appearances right to the very presence of God where Jesus, running on ahead of us, has taken up his permanent post as high priest for us” –Heb 6:19

Chin up. You’re not at the end.
